Ana Celia de Armas Caso is from Cuba. Her career began in Cuba as the star of Una Rosa de France. In 2007, she relocated to Madrid in Spain and was cast on El Internado, a popular spanish show for six consecutive seasons. Then, following the relocation from Madrid to Los Angeles de Armas landed English acting roles in the psychological horror film Knock Knock (2014) and the comedy crime film War Dogs (2017). She rose to prominence with her role as hyper-realistic AI projection Joi in the science fiction film Blade 2049 (2017).
